About this course
The new age Master of Science in Animation is an advanced PG programme offered by Gujarat University. The programme has been designed with inputs by industry experts to groom students for the competitive and fast-growing technology field of animation. The curriculum has been prepared with industry requirements in mind and it emphasises practical, application-oriented learning.
The animation programme is a comprehensive package that teaches the complete Animation process from “script to screen”. The programme is tailored to hone the conceptual, visualization and craft skills of the students through theory and practice.

Course Curriculum

Semester 1
Animation Principles & Designing Rules, Concept Development & Story Boarding, Drawing and Composting, Graphical Illustration, Digital Imaging and UI Design, Introduction to 3D.
Semester 2
Anatomy Study and Character Design, Film Language and Appreciation, Motion Graphics, Character Modelling and Sculpting, Interiors and Exterior Modeling, Texturing and Camera Walkthrough.
Semester 3
3D Animation, Advances Rigging, Facial Expression and Lip sync, Lighting , Rendering and Compositing, FX and Simulation, Audio and Video Editing.
Semester 4
VFX, Internship/Project
